Post Race Report
The following is excerpts from our Vice Presidents' account of last Saturdays Unlimited Race.
"........another great night of racing at VARO. Full heats and lots of twists and turns made an exciting time."
"From my perspective, I went into the race with a lot of uncertainty. I've been working hard on building a new aircraft for VARO and have been
sacrificing practice time. I think it showed in my racing. while I was able to hold on to third place, that was only after some unfortunate luck for
other pilots."
"During the gold race is where it became most apparent as I watched GOferBROKE, Baron and WTR slowly work their way further and further ahead of
me. It was neck and neck for WTR*755 and me for a bit with an occasional glimpse of him flashing in front of me on the tighter turns. But his superior flying
and much cleaner line put him squarely ahead of me about halfway into the race. After a few botched turns I shifted my focus towards holding off
GriffonJet behind me and not making any more mistakes. That was pretty much my strategy through the end of the race.
By the end of the night I was exhausted but definitely had a great time."
Thanks to Flatline for taking time out to share his views of the action.
