Sryth's Racing Tips Volume 1
This is going to be a timely section related on going fast and being competitive using VARO's excellent P-51D Reno Racer developed by Roger Dial.
Tip #1 Lighten Up that Bird
Whatever you do do not run your Mustang with a full fuel load. You will be slower due to the extra weight of the fuel. You want to trim down to the least amount of fuel as possible. Be warned however you still need to be able to land to complete a race
Tip #2 Be consistant
Pilot that are real fast will tell you that the more consistant you are with your line around the course the faster you will be. Try to make a little movement on the control as necessary. If you deviate from your line do your best to get back into by the next pylon. To aid in staying "On your line" I use my panel as a guide. If I can see the pylon at a particular angle in a exact spon on my panel I know I am in the right spot. A lot of this also comes from feel the more laps you turn the more of a feel you will have. Another tool to use is to record your laps using the flight video mode. You can then later look from any angle with out fear of crashing.
Hope these tips help and always remember fly fast, fly low, turn left
